　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10 am until 2 pm. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice - we cannot accept same-day appointments.

　　This little tyke is Max Jr, a sweet little male brown tabby kitten. Baby Max is approximately 12 weeks old (as of 9/20/13). Max Jr. is a very friendly fellow who loves to be held and cuddled. He hasn't been handled too much, so we're looking for a home without small kids, since they can frighten Max Jr. if they're a little grabby. Max Jr. shouldn't be around dogs over 12 lbs. Due to being underage for a spay/neuter surgery, adoption requires an additional refundable spay/neuter deposit to reinforce state requirements for all adopted pets to be fixed by age of maturity. Read our adoption process for more information. Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters.
