　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's Home for the Holidays campaign aims to have as many homeless pets home as possible by the end of December! During November & December 2012, we've waived adoption fees for adult cats 1 year and older and reduced younger cats' fees to only $40! Make a cat's Christmas wish come true!

　　Please meet Mary-Kate, a fuzzy and sweet brown/gray tabby kitten. Mary-Kate is a kitten at age 9 months (10/23/12). She has a perfect tabby "M" on her forehead, chipmunk-like stripes on her head and back, and deep yellow eyes! She's a sweet little young lady with a predictable amount of kitten energy! This girl loves her toys! She loves people, too, and loves attention. Mary-Kate also enjoys the challenge of finding odd places in which to take naps - and she's very good at it!! She loves kitty play cubes, tunnels and cool beds. She's hoping to find a forever home where she'll have friends and hopefully bond with a family! 　　Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc). We cannot accept applications from minors/legal dependents. Read up on our adoption process .
