My story
09/11/19 15:48 Symba was surrendered to the shelter because his owner was moving and unable to take him with. Symba was extremely nervous when he first arrived and would growl and bark at his animal tenders. After a day, Symba started to warm up and get into the swing of things- as he became accustomed to our routine he has grown in confidence every day! Symba needs a home that will help socialize him with new people, places and dogs- a basic obedience course is a great structured environment that will help to reinforce good people/dog relations. Symba's previous owner stated that he can have some food aggression, which appears to be directed towards dogs. As such, we are requiring that he have mutual visits with any other canines in the home, and go to a home without children under the age of 12 years. Symba is a smart young man who just needs some life experience and guidance under his belt in order to succeed! It is unknown how Symba does with cats, so caution should be used if attempting to introduce him to kitties. Symba has been doing a great job of keeping his kennel clean while at the shelter.
