My story
Swirl is an adorable, quite petite female Dalmatian. She was ordered surrendered by the Court in St. Landry Parish LA for neglect and abuse. When she got to the shelter, it was embroiled in local politics with the Sheriff and Swirl slipped between the cracks. She ended up at the top of the Euthanasia List when we saw her + fought successfully to get her. She has spent brief times in 2 fosters who loved her + totally charmed the DRC volunteer who greeted her in MO. Swirl adores other dogs + kids of all ages. People fascinate her. Chickens not so much. She is lovely from the inside out + finds everyday a joy. Please contact [email protected] for additional info. Donation $300. If interested in this dog, please go to and submit an application for adoption. Under Adoptions, please read our adoption policy. We must have an application before we can begin the adoption process and each dog does have foster contact listed.
