Mazy was rescued from a southern CA shelter in March 2018.
She is about 65lbs and estimated to be around 5yrs old.
Mazy had been found with her buddy Baxter wandering in the desert.
Mazy was in pain and favoring her rear leg.
When she made it up to use a week or so later, we immediately had her checked out at the vet.
Thankfully there were no broken bones...other vets concurred and all were perplexed as to what what causing her pain and suspected a soft tissue injury that might improve on it's own.
Thankfully that is showing to be true!
Although she will still favor her leg on occasion, she has no problem walking and moving whenever she would like.
Her new home should be able to offer daily short walks (15-20mins) as these seem to be helping her get her muscles back in shape :)
Mazy has shown to be one of th sweetest dogs we have ever rescued and we can't wait to find her that perfect lucky home.
Here are some notes from her fostermom:
Mazy loves attention!
She's not super needy, but will offer a paw when she feels it is time for a petting. She enjoys walks, likes to be around people, hasn't really barked so I'm not sure if she would be the protective typical German Shepherd type.
So, if someone is looking for a guard dog, etc she wouldn't be the one.
I think someone who is looking for companionship and has time to spend with her would be good.
She's not high maintenance at all, very low key and mellow!
I feel she would be fine around young kids too as she doesn't seem have a mean bone in her body!
