Hello, we are looking for a loving home for our sweet 3 year old golden retriever, Rosie. Rosie would be perfect for someone who is looking for a companion to keep them company all day.

　　Rosie is a very sweet classic golden retriever. She is very, very mellow (ever since she was a puppy.) The best thing about Rosie is she is a wonderful, loving companion and will faithfully stay by your side all day as she sits quietly at your feet no matter what you are doing. She is like a quiet shadow. If shes not at your feet, shes sitting in the window quietly watching people walk by. We spend our weekends on my family ranch in Healdsburg and she's also an excellent ranch dog and does well around horses, LOVES to swim and doesnt get into trouble. She's LOVES hiking and exploring the trails with you and she can also keep up on slow runs. She sits, lays down and comes when called. She's perfect in cars. She only barks when someone is at the door. She enjoys a casual game of fetch (especially if its into the water!) but is not at all ball crazy. Shes exellent with children, but does not like babies crawling on her back. Rosie's con is she has leash aggression (she growls at other dogs in passing when shes on the leash, but its nothing out of control and easy to distract with treats) she has a very mellow alpha dog personality. (shes kind of like a "lioness") If she gets to know other dogs, she loves them and has many dog friends whom she plays with, but at first meet she can have her guard up and it can take a little bit of work for her to get to know a new dog - but once she makes friends, she is very silly and playful with them. Rosie would be perfect for someone who works from home/is retired and enjoys hiking and the slow life or someone who lives on a ranch/farm and wants a companion to spend their days with or a simply a family in the country who is looking for a family dog to love, as she is great with kids.
