Found this sweet calico cat nursing 3 baby kittens in a cardboard box in a field. Being animal lovers we had to bring them home to give them a warm safe place and a fighting chance to survive. All the kittens have since then grown and found loving homes. Unfortunately, we already have 2 dogs and 4 cats at our home and we cannot afford another animal. We've come to call this calico, Miss Kitty. I suspect from her shy and sometimes skittish nature that she may have been abused, but over time she has become more comfortable yet still remains wary and can run for cover if she feels threatened by fast movements. She has never shown any sign of agression towards humans or our pets, and is in fact rather submissive. She loves to cuddle on your lap and be gently petted or scratched behind her ears. Our vet estimates that she is about 1-2 years old and she is very healthy. We will be getting her fixed in the next month or so, and definitely before she goes to a new home. She has been dewormed and deflead. She is a very small, dainty cat once you show her some gentle love she gets more comfortable and easygoing. She started out sleeping in her crate only, but she is now comfy enough to sleep on the bed next to our dog even. She gets along well with our dog and our other cats too. She picked up using her litter box the first day she came home with us with no accidents in the 5 months she has been with us. We are hoping to find her a gentle loving soul that can bring this cat the peace and love she deserves. We are only asking a small $20 fee for adoption. We will consider waiving this fee to the perfect home. Must pick her up or we might be able to arrange meeting you halfway.
