STORMY's story

　　Stormy was surrendered to the shelter due to the previous owner unable to keep her in their new apartment. According to the previous owner, Stormy uses her litterbox consistently, tolerates calm children, but can be iffy with dogs and has never been around other cats. The previous owners also say that Stormy hides when strangers come to the house and can be shy at first and wants attention on her own terms. Stormy was kept as an outdoor cat in the past and will bolt out doors; potential adopters are encouraged to keep her inside for her safety. Stormy is looking for a quiet home with someone that will understand her need for space, and provide her with controlled access to the outdoors to keep her safe from predators, vehicles, etc. Stormy is most happy when she can go outside, but due to her independent nature she may not return unless she is properly contained.
