Stevie's story

　　Stevie was purchased from a breeder in California as a kitten. His owner is too frail for a big, active cat, so asked our foster to give him a good home.

　　He weighs 15# 6.5 oz. and has been changed to a higher protein diet, so we hope he will gradually lose about a pound (best weight). His teeth are in good condition, he is negative for feline leukemia and feline AIDS and he has been vaccinated for upper respiratory diseases.

　　Stevie had ear mites, but he is being treated and should be fine shortly. We don't know where or how he got them, but apparently he was with other family members and their cats during move from California. He did not rub his ears or exhibit any symptoms. They were discovered in a slide of ear dirt.
