My story

　　We are now accepting applications for Stella!The puppies have begun the weaning process so we will now start accepting applications for Momma Stella. It will still be a couple weeks before she is ready to leave but this will give us time to process apps and make sure we have a home ready for her. She is still severely underweight and the larger the pups get, the worse it gets for her so she needs a home where she can relax and recover for a bit. We typically like to wait 1 to 2 months after a Mom has moved, before we have her spayed. This allows time for her to heal and get back to her ideal weight. While she can go into a "foster to adopt" home soon, any adoption cannot be finalized until after surgery. She must come back to our vet for her spay surgery. Stella is a Shepherd mix, under 2 years. She is incredibly sweet but can be a bit of a counter surfer. We have found this is typical in nursing and pregnant dogs so we are hoping this behavior calms once away from the puppies. She is extremely trainable and already knows basic commands. She likes to be next to the humans and is very gentle.
