Li'l Bit -- He is approximately five or six years old, is neutered, has had all of his shots, and has been micro chipped. He has recently been groomed and looks absolutely beautiful. He also has been licensed. He does have a problem with one eye -- something the vet calls a "cherry eye." It never came to the surface properly so he cannot see with that eye. But that definitely does not stop him from running, jumping, and playing. His legs are also very bowed, but again that does not stop him. This little guy is so well house-broken that we believe he would die before he would do anything in the house. He does have a bit of a delicate stomach, so his evening meal is a bit different from the rest of the pack. He is so sweet and loving, and just would like to have a nice home of his own. While there are a lot of dogs here at Squeak's Retreat, we think he would do best as an only dog who would receive all of your love. His re-home fee is $200.
A little more information about Squeak's Retreat: at Squeak's Retreat all of the dogs live in our home as part of our family. THEY ARE NEVER CRATED, but are allowed the run of the house. Also, they are inside dogs -- and should NEVER be left outside for an extended period of time. They are all fed at the same time, and for the most part, there is never any fighting. It is the intent of Squeak's Retreat that when you re-home one of our little ones, there is nothing that you have to do. They will have been neutered, they will have received all of their shots, they will have received their micro-chips, and they will have recently been groomed. All you have to do when you get your new little one home is love them and feed them. We also send each dog to their new home with the food that they have been eating -- both dry and canned. We do have an application that must be filled out as well as a contract that must be signed. We also require that the new owner visits their chosen baby at least twice before they will be allowed to take them home. Many of our babies have lived with a great deal of trauma for most of their lives. They either were found as a stray or were owner-surrendered (generally from a very bad environment).
