My story

　　Sprite is sweet & bubbly! 

　　Hi, pals! My name is Sprite. I’m a low-key, loyal girl and I’m “soda” cute if I don’t say so myself! I’m a 5-year-old, 22-pound terrier mix. My appointment to be spayed is already on the calendar and otherwise, I’m a healthy gal. I was rescued off the side of the road in Ensenada alongside one of my pups. The beginning of my life was a bit of a rocky road, but I know that I’ll find a special human who will make my future as sweet can be! 

　　I’m a friendly girl who gets along with pups and people. I haven’t met any kids yet, but I think we’d be pals! I also haven’t met any cats, but I don’t think we’d get along. When I’m not spending time with my human or doggy friends, I adore going on walks. Getting outside to explore and stretch my legs is my all-time favorite. Whether it’s a longer hike or a morning coffee walk, I’m your girl! After we get some exercise, I’m pawfectly content hanging at home by your side. 

　　I’m a very good girl who is trained in all departments. I do well in the house, I never have accidents, and I’m a dream on the leash. My biggest area of growth is my separation anxiety. I just started Prozac (~$5-$10 per month) and Clonidine (~$7 per month) to help calm my nerves. I get very panicked when left alone and will try to escape my crate. It’s definitely a work in progress, but I am confident that with time, patience, and a routine, I will become more confident on my own. 

　　As I work through my separation anxiety, my ideal human is one who is home most of the time or can take me with you on your adventures! I need to continue my training, but otherwise, I’m a super mellow, easy-going gal who is easy to love. So what do you say? Pop on over and meet sweet Sprite today!
