Spike's story

　　Spike is mellow boy who loves squeeky toys! Nothing makes him happier than chasing one, playing tug-of-war with you, or just chewing on one. He becomes very animated around his toys! He doesn't interact a lot with other dogs, so he's good for dogs who like to be left alone. Even with his foster's territorial dog, Spike doesn't push the boundaries or try to fight for territory. Spike recently had to leave the only home he's ever known, so he's adjusting to a different kind of life. He will follow his foster around, and ask for attention and pets, but he hasn't quite let his guard down yet to allow full on affection.. So he'll need a patient adopter that will understand that he needs some time to adapt. He is good about riding in a car, but hasn't had a lot of experience on a leash. But he'll learn to love walks with some encouragement. Spike has some guarding issues, and needs an adopter that will be the leader of the "pack". Spike probably got away with a lot at his former home and wants to be dominant with his human, but he's learning that he has limits in his new life. His adopter will just need to maintain that expectation. He's neutered, house trained, and up to date on all his vaccinations.
