This is a handmade, antique Masonic piece. It os a wooden lugging tray inlaid with irridescent butterfly wings under glass. It was on exhibit in the Vulcan museum in Birmingham for nearly a year. The craftmanship of this piece is amazing. Nearly all of the butterfly wings are still in immaculate condition, regardless of their age and fragility. The wood has one little fracture near the handle, but might be quickly fixed. I have actually done some study on it and might just discover one other siniliar piece, which is on display in a gallery in Brazil. You can reach me at 256-924-zero727. Thanks!
