My story
02/08/22 11:46 Sophia came to the shelter after being involved in a bite incident, but was not redeemed by her owner after the required hold time and a stray hold time.
She was deemed non-dangerous as the bite occurred in a situation where she felt she was defending her owner, so she has been evaluated and been made available for adoption.
Sophia has been a sweetheart at the shelter with her caretakers, but is definitely a bit rough around the edges and would make a great project dog for the right family.
Sophia is not a fan of dominant dogs and may prefer to be the household princess. She has shown a lot of undue interest in the cats and small animals at the shelter, and must go to a home without cats/pocket pets. Sophia pulls hard on the leash and would benefit enormously from a basic obedience course with her new owner. Sophia has not been able to keep her kennel clean consistently but may do better in a home setting where her owners can get her out to potty regularly and on a schedule.
Sophia is a young girl who has a lot of promise. If you are ready to help her grow into herself, please contact the shelter today!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt SOPHIA, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
