Sophi is a very sweet girl. Affectionate!! Her favorite thing in this world is her little human (children)!! Second is her big human. And then rope toys! Lol She plays excellent with other dogs and cats. Sophi enjoys playing in water too...she gets that from the Labrador in her genes. Her mom was a Lab, her dad was bully/pittie breed. Shes a very feminine looking dog. Her colors are rare and that pink nose is precious. Guess what else? She has a tan spot on her left side that is in the shape of HEART! Really! Its so fitting.

　　Hope you like music bc Sophi is a huge music lover!! And if you like Spanish music well then yall may be soulmates.ha She does enjoy all music though. Sophi girl likes to dance too. If humans are standing up salsa dancing or twirling with arms up singing...Sophi will twirl too! And she sit and watch the dancing... loving the view!

　　Shes 100% potty trained. And she likes a clean living space. #diva She likes fresh water!

　　She does have a sad story:::: read below and grab a tissue. The love and cultural bridge is beautiful.

　　Let us tell you a little about this precious girl. Her family contacted us requesting to surrender her to us because they were being deported to Mexico the following week. We've heard many excuses, but this was a first...and we believed them. (It was true! They really were deported!) So we took Sophi into our rescue the day before they were deported. They were a Mexican family who loves Sophi immensely! The mom sent us darling photos and the most heartwrenching letter "To Sophi's new family" for when she's adopted. (Will post at the bottom of this post).

　　Well guys, Sophi had a meltdown because for her whole life since she was 3 weeks old she was in a Spanish speaking household with dark haired people who loved her dearly...they danced with Sophi and sang spanish songs. So when we rescued Sophi, she refused to come out of the crate. She didn't know English! She had not seen many blonde haired, fair skinned, blue eyed people who spoke English. She growled at us. We contacted a wonderful training group called Encore Enrichment who sent angels to get her out of the crate in our foster's garage after she had hid from us for 5 days. Her family in Mexico would call us and we put them on speaker phone so that they could talk to Sophi. They talked to her so kindly in Spanish and then they SANG TO SOPHI through the phone. Wanna know what we did? We cried, because it was beautiful to hear them sing to their beloved pet whom they were forced to leave behind and even with cultural and language boundaries they sought out a rescue to take their family member, their pet. It was humanizing and renewed our view of good people in this world.

　　So back to Sophi hiding in fear in our garage, It took 3 hours of patience and love by Encore Enrichment to earn Sophi's trust, but it happened.

　　Sophi was still scared, and her first defense was to continue to growl. She didn't bite, but we didn't test her. We paid for Encore to professionally train her and work with her on learning English commands, and meeting strangers and basic commands and more daily! After a few training sessions, she loves her foster family AND they love her! Her best buddy is our mini-volunteer, an 11 year old little girl who has the kindest heart for animals. Sophi ADORES HER!!!

　　Y'all...guess what??? Fast forward to four weeks later, Sophi is now ready to be adopted by a special family.

　　You get extra points if you know a little Spanish because Sophi LOVESSSS Spanish music. She will dance and turn in circles when it comes on. It's soooo funny.

　　Sophi has PASSED her temperament testing with dogs, cats, and children. She's a super duper good dog! She loves rope toys. And is literally one of our most intelligent dogs.

　　Ps- if you're wondering about her family in Mexico...they still call Sophi weekly and text to check on her. We hope that Sophi's new adopters keep in some sort of contact with them via social media or email, because they're pretty great.

　　LETTER FROM HER MOM & DAD:

　　For you, new family of my little Sophi, thank you very much for having noticed her, you will not regret it, I hope she makes you immensely happy as much as we do, please if she is sad give her a hug let her know that she is not alone and that you they will also love her, have patience, I imagine that her behavior will be difficult the first weeks, even here at home, it was the last days maybe she did not understand what was happening but she sensed it, she was very nervous, she cried when she did not see us for a minute, she even received some scolding for doing the bathroom inside the house, she knew something was wrong ? I know that we do not all treat our puppies in the same way, I only ask you never to go cold, hot or hungry, here was always with us at all times, unfortunately I did not have a yard where I could play, hopefully and with you I can have it so I can play, jump, if not, it does not matter, you can be happy without that, just walk The car is happy, it is not very disciplined when going for a walk, but she is not to blame, unfortunately the last months she did not go walking because I have a problem in the back which prevented me from taking a daily walk, that has left her very unhappy, thank you for giving her this opportunity and I hope that you will love those beautiful green eyes very much, they are crossed feelings, I feel happy that you have found a family but at the same time my heart is broken. Thank you, blessings. Now you have a little bit of my heart ... and it's called Sophia! I love her with all my heart.

　　We are being deported next week back to Mexico. Thank you for giving me peace for having to leave her behind, the hardest choice.
