I am the first owner of this player, I bought it when it was released. Most of its life it sat on a shelf. For the past three years I have sparingly used it as a CD transport. The SACD function no longer operates, but the transport, display, and all other features operate normally. It plays CDs without issue. I have the bronze puck and the original box. I lost the remote control. I’m upgrading my DAC and moving into streaming, therefore I no longer use this player. I’m reluctant to sell, as nothing is made this well anymore for under 20k. It weighs 55 lbs and is. Hilt like a tankThis player was designed and built by the R and D department of Sony, it included this player and the SACD 1..
the only difference between the 777 and SACD 1, is a silver rather than black case, and while the SACD 1 is not a balanced circuit, it accepts XLR outputs
Otherwise, the internals are the same. This is a special product and needs to find a new homePayPal add 3%. Local pickup in San Jose CA is strongly recommended as this will be very expensive to shipOn Apr-26-23 at 10:24:46 PDT, seller added the following information:This monster of a CD player weighs 55lbs. Ignore EBay’s amount, to ship across the country will be in excess of $100, plus it will cost me about $50 to pack it securely
