These two sweet brothers, Sol Sing and Lao Ling, pure breed Flame Point Siamese cats, were sent to the shelter because their owner lies in a hospital bed dying. No one in her family and none of her friends wanted to take them in and love them. So instead they sent them to a high kill shelter where bonded 10 year old cats don't stand much of a chance to be adopted, let alone be adopted together.
Well, the rescue community heard about them and we busted them out of jail and took them straight to our vet for exams and blood work. We were relieved that both are relatively healthy, and will need follow up exams in a few months to check thyroid levels for one of the two.
They were very shy and hid in a linen cabinet for the first week at their foster home, but by week two they started exploring during the night and by week three they were out and about during the day looking for human affection and attention. They just needed time and space to adjust to so many losses and changes in a short period of time. This is what the foster mom had to say at week three "BTW, one of boys really came out of his shell with me last night. What a total lover boy!"
They are looking for their forever home and are adoption ready!!
The boys need someone to just love them for the rest of their lives and spoil them. They were lucky to dodge a bullet once, let's hope they are never in that position again!!!
