My story
It`s our beautiful doll Skechers! Skechers is a 3 year old prettty, petite black medium mix.
She is about 34 pounds, heartworm negative, spayed female. She was adopted for 12 weeks and did extremely well in their home. She is crated trained and was housebroken beautifully. She will need to settle in for 1-3 days and be shown the routine and you learn how she tells you she needs to go outside. She was around a 2 year old and was gentle, but of course she will need to be monitored with any child. She loves leash walks, but still pulls on the leash. A harness with a front snap would be ideal. She`s not aggressive with her food or her toys which is always a big plus. She likes other dogs and lived with a similar sized dog that she played with frequently. She is initially scared of new people and is very scared of men. Her adopter said that she isn`t safe for cats either. Skechers is looking for a new home due to no fault of her own (her owner had to move into another home with too many dogs) so Miss Skechers is back at the shelter. When Sketch A533988 got outside to stretch her legs she had quite the adventure! As we mentioned before, Sketch is very shy and will lean into her human for reassurance and comfort. She started gaining confidence on our walk and even stopped to smell the tulips. Then….. `faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive` comes HAS ninja Lucy running towards us. Yep Lucy jumped the fence and decided to join us. The girls did well together and thankfully Lucy followed us back to the shelter and Sketch made a friend. Sketch is a smaller black and white tuxedo mix and will need some help getting out of HAS as she is so quiet and shy. What a brave baby!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt SKECHERS, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
