My story
This is Sir! We believe Sir was born in September of 2016, and would do well with all ages. Sir loves to be involved in everything. He is smart, aware, protective, loving and has a lot of personality. Sir would rather not have other dogs barking at his humans and prefers his canine friends to be quiet and mellow. We don't know if Sir has ever lived with a cat, but he probably would be fine with one with a proper introduction. Sir would love to have a fenced yard to run in and a quiet place to rest inside when his work day is done. Sir has won all of our hearts here at the shelter and you only have to meet him to understand why.
All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org
When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition.
Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed.
If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
If you have any questions feel free to send us an email at [email protected], send us a message on Facebook, or call or text .
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sir, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
