My story
Simone is a 3 year old chihuahua mix. She is spayed, UTD on her vaccines & microchipped. She weighs 13 lbs.
Simone was recently returned to Pathways after almost a year due to her owner getting ill & no longer being able to care for her. Simone made great progress with her previous owner & she is again looking for a low-key, quiet home.
She is quite timid when meeting new people & will need time to adjust. She does not like chaos, noise, or fast movements. She faithfully uses potty pads. Her ideal life would be to sit on your lap or on your furniture and watch TV with you. She does not mind any size people & she gets along with other dogs. She has not had the pleasure of being around cats. She will need to go to a home with a secured, attached yard or even an enclosed patio. She has never been walked on a leash/harness & while we hope she will be confident enough one day, she is not even close to being ready to take that on. She does not need to be crated.
After learning her comfort and feeling your love, she may be open and willing to try new things in life.
If you can accept Simone for who she is right now and understand her worries and needs, please complete an adoption application at and you will be contacted if your application fits her needs.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Simone, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
