My story

　　08/28/21 Simon was adopted but returned to the shelter after 2 weeks in his previous home. Simon was returned due to being a bit too rambunctious and jumping up and nipping at his female owner on walks and in the home. The male owner did not have any similar issues and indicated that his wife is not much of a dog person, and that he did not feel like the Simon was being aggressive, just a bit overbearing.

　　Simon is a very active young dog who is in his teenage years and does not appear to have all of his basic manners instilled in him yet, although he does do quite a nice 'sit'! He is looking for an owner who understands alaskan huskies and can give Simon the training he needs to grow into a well behaved dog! He has been very loving towards his female animal tenders so we do believe that this is just puppy behavior. If you are interested in giving Simon a shot please give the shelter a call! 08/11/21 This happy boy is Simon. Simon came in a stray so we don't have any back history on him. Here at the shelter he has been a bundle of joy! Simon is an energetic pup looking for a very active home to keep him both mentally and physically stimulated! He may enjoy learning how to skijor! Simon has done ok at keeping his kennel clean here at the shelter but may need some continued work on potty training. Simon has been submissively urinating here at the shelter so that is something his new owner should be aware of. He would also love to learn some basic obedience skills and possibly attend a class with his new owner! Here at the shelter Simon has been friendly and playful with the dogs in the kennels near by! We do not know how he does with smaller critters such as cats, pocket pets, and livestock. Alaskan huskies tend to have a high prey drive so please take caution if choosing to introduce him to other critters! If you are interested in meeting Simon please give the shelter a call!
