My story
Simba was surrendered to the shelter because his family had a new baby and no longer had time for him. Per his owner, Simba is house trained, kennel trained, loves car rides and generally minds well. Simba has a very timid and shy personality and takes a while to warm up to new people. Simba is fearful of children and babies and takes a while to warm up to new dogs. Simba does not do well with cats and can sometimes chew up things that don't belong to him. Simba must go to a home without children under 5 years, and without cats. We strongly suggest bringing any other dogs in the home in for a mutual visit with Simba to help ensure that he is a good fit for your family. Simba would love a calm quiet home with a nice couch to relax on.The shelter has been very stressful for Simba, so he will have some anti-anxiety medication to go home with him to help him adjust to his new surroundings. Simba was also diagnosed with a skin infection while at the shelter- he is on a course of antibiotics to clear up the issue but his new family will need to take him for a recheck when he has finished all of his medication.
