　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer and need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

　　This beautiful silver lady is Mila, a young adult female. Mila is a little bit special needs, since she was found with a past injury that prevents her from using her front left paw. Although we thought it might need to be amputated, it doesn't seem to be necessary. As long as everything is low-impact and she doesn't walk around too much, she does get around just fine. Mila is a gentle girl who is very aware of her lame paw, so she's always a bit suspicious of cats she doesn't know. But she should do okay around another gentle cat or two who she can get to know and feel safe around. Mila is an affectionate girl, and loves soaking up attention from people! 　　Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.).
