　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer and need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

　　This handsome silver guy is Kid, an adult male Silver Tabby. He's approximately 3-5 years old. He has gorgeous yellow-green eyes! Kid was a little cautious at first, but got the hang of our adoption center pretty fast. He isn't terribly fond of other cats, but absolutely loves receiving attention from us!! He's very vocal, and doesn't mind speaking his mind about something: when the food bowl is empty, when someone's at the door, or when he looks out the window and sees a bird! He's a talker! Kid is pretty low-energy and calm around people, and would warm up even more in a home environment. He's hoping to find a person he can bond with! 　　Negative for FIV/FeLK, current on vaccinations and neutered.

　　Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors or legal dependents. Read up on our adoption process .
