Please meet our handsome smoke/silver and white charmer named Carter! He's about a year old (birthday app. June 2011). Carter has big, beautiful neon yellow eyes! Carter was found as a teeny newborn kitten alongside a county road a month or so after the April 27th tornado, in a badly damaged area. We can't confirm if he'd be considered a tornado survivor - we never found his mother cat or any siblings. Carter was hand-raised by volunteers, but developed a condition in his liver which needed a good deal of veterinary care. He is a little small for his age, and might just stay small. He is now perfectly healthy and has been doing great for a while, and his foster home had to make the tough decision to put him up for adoption. Carter is very much a charmer, being an affectionate and playful guy! Be forewarned - he's clever, cunning and can easily find his way into your heart! Stop in and meet Carter at our cat adoption center!

Negative for FIV and FeLK, current on vaccinations and neutered.
Our adoption fee is temporarily reduced to only $50, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend for any applicants (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors. Read up on our adoption process . Then , if you feel your home might be the right forever home and you would like to adopt this cat, submit an online application form. We recommend meeting any pet first.
