　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer and need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

　　I Want a Home for the Summer!

　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's "Home for the Summer" campaign aims to adopt out as many adult pets as possible this summer! During the month of June 2013, we've reduced adoption fees for all adult cats 1 year and older! Help us make this their best summer ever - by winning a loving family!

　　This handsome silver guy is Bruno, a male adult Silver Tabby, maybe 4 to 5 years of age. Bruno is a very friendly guy! He'd love to be a companion type of pet who can sit down with someone and chat about the day! He's been pretty friendly and polite with other cats while with us, but we don't know how well he'd handle dogs. Bruno had a rough start to life, which shows with his healing scratches. He must've been in a fight with a not-so-friendly cat or two. He's a lucky guy, though - all he needs are antibiotics to help prevent infection. Once his scratches are healed, he's good as new and ready for a family! Please stop in at our cat adoption center or contact us to meet Bruno!

　　Negative for FIV/FeLK, current on vaccinations and neutered.

　　Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors or legal dependents. Read up on our adoption process .
