My story
Please contact Joyce for more information about this pet.Sweet Sierra is the kind of cat that shows us that hard things can be overcome through grace and good nature. Sierra has limited vision, but her ability to learn her surroundings has impressed her foster family. When Sierra first arrived at her foster home, it took her a few days of cautious exploration to figure out the lay of the land. Though her vision is diminished, her other senses are heightened: she loves toys that crinkle and jingle, and she understands the intonations of her favorite people, so much so that she seems to know when they need extra cuddles. Unlike many cats, she seems to enjoy music, and she was an attentive audience member for her foster brother's guitar practice. As much as she uses sound to help her orient herself, she uses her own voice to chat, question, and call for attention. Sierra loves being with her favorite people and will ask for gentle pets by putting her head near any moving hands and arms. Sierra is a true delight and is destined to be a committed companion and family member to whomever will give her the chance to show the immense love she has to give.
Sierra has a visual impairment that limits her vision. She has some vision in her right eye and reasonable vision in her left. No ongoing care has been suggested for her eyes. She also has a chronic nasal condition that causes her to sneeze occasionally, but no treatment is needed at this time.
Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped.
