My story

　　I'm Sid, like the sloth! Staff at Wags and Whiskers gave me this cute & silly name because I am just the cutest and silliest looking thing you'll ever lay eyes on! I'm a super happy, outgoing, and playful pup, though my story did not always have such an upbeat tone to it; when my family and I came to Wags and Whiskers, I was fighting for my life!

　　My poor mama gave birth in an overcrowded shelter, where she was beyond stressed out, and simply couldn't cope with having had babies in such a harsh environment. Shortly after giving birth, my mom unfortunately turned on us, leaving me badly injured, including one of my ears nearly completely ripped off! The shelter was quick to act, and separated my siblings and I from out stressed mom, and reached out to Wags and Whiskers in hopes that they could take us in and get us (especially me) the treatment we needed. Wags stepped up and didn't waste a moment in coming to pick us up and save us from certain death.

　　Since being with Wags and Whiskers, most of my siblings, and even my sweet mama have been adopted; staff say that I get overlooked because I'm so special, and my perfect family won't care that my ear is funny looking, and that my overbite makes my tongue hang out, they'll love me just the way that I am, I just have to be patient!
