My story
Shye is an adult Pitbull Terrier weighing about 65-70lbs. Since we do not know her full history before she came to us, we are guessing she is between 4-5 year old...but that is a guess.Oh sweet Shye, where to even begin. We would like to start by saying Shye has been in our care for over a year now. She has won a huge spot in everybody's heart and there is not one Brighter Days person who isn't madly in love with this sweet girl.Shye's history was very rough. We don't exactly know her past but when our rescue partners were finally able to catch her, she was beyong terrified. Even when she was the most terrified she never growled or showed any signs of aggressions, she would just cower, withdraw, and shake. She broke all of our hearts. It's pretty clear to us that Shye has had some previous litters, and may have been used as a backyard breeder dog, since she is absolutely gorgeous. We knew that Shye needed some confidence training, for her own benefit, and so she could be a good adoption candidate. She was trasnferred at this point to our board and train program where she has really blossomed and become the most amazing dog. Shye is just a happy, loving, sweet little piggy. Her smile says it all. Despite her past all she wants to do is love and live a "normal" happy life. She listens great, and has done wonderful in our board and train program. While the main thing she has accomplished is so much confidence, she is also a very well trained, great dog now. We will require whoever adopts Shye takes the training course with our trainers to make sure she is 100% set up for success. The training course is free of charge and SO worth it! Shye gets along with people and dogs so well, she is just great, there is really no other way to put it.
