My story
Shyanne is an 1-and-1/2 year old female Husky mix who must be spayed before she is adopted. She is a gorgeous girl; her medium length coat is black, white, and beautiful! Her eyes are crystal clear and blue as can be! Shyanne is considered to be a medium sized adult dog; she currently weighs 34 pounds. She came to PAHS as an owner turn in because her family just didn't have enough time for her. We believe she will be fine in a home with other dogs and children but NO cats. Shyanne loves to 'sing'; she has a lovely voice and when she 'sings' who can hear her quite well. For that reason, and her activity level, she would not be a good choice for someone living in an apartment. Huskies are known to have an even temperament and a love for being outside. They are also known to be escape artists so a strong and secure fence will be needed for Shyanne's new home. Huskies are very active dogs and Shyanne will need regular exercise. She would enjoy life best with an active family. Shyanne will require exercise in order to maintain good behavior and only an adopter with the time and energy to fully commit to Shyanne should consider adopting her. Shyanne is a great dog with lots of potential to be a great companion dog for an adopter who is going to be patient with her and take up a lot of time with her.Dogs may be adopted for $120. Cat adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
