Shirley's story
Shirley would do best in a quiet home that is willing to help build her confidence with people and her confidence in herself. Any family is highly encouraged to take her to basic obedience training to help build her up in new situations. She should be left on a leash in the home (does not need to be a long line) and should have a martingale collar when leaving the shelter.
Next 2-3 months: If there are house parties or large gatherings it is not recommended to let Shirley free roam the house it will be very overwhelming for her. She would do best in a room with a crate and a antler to chew on. She should not be taken to any large events over the next month or two, again it would be very overwhelming for her.
