My name is Shin and I am a 7 year old male, black & white Japanese Chin. I was rescued from a Kansas puppy mill in 2016 by a wonderful Wyoming rescue. In February 2017 while in rescue my right eye came out and I was immediately rushed to the vet who was able to put the eye back in, however I probably lost vision in that eye. On 2/23/18, my right eye developed an ulcer on the cornea which ruptured. I again was rushed to the vet who treated the rupture and stitched my eye closed in order to let it heal. On 3/16/18 I was transferred to CJCR in order to give me a better chance at finding a forever home. I saw the Ophthalmologist on 3/17/18, who determined that my right eye is completely blind and is shrinking and degenerating. I had my eye removed, in order to prevent any future problems or pain. I also have a problem with my right front leg. It may have been broken at some point in my past and I have a very pronounced limp. Even after all I have been through I am the happiest little guy who loves to snuggle up on people's laps. I love other dogs and am a super sweet little guy.
t may be a little while before I am ready for my forever home, while I get all the necessary medical care, but I will definitely be worth the wait.
