My story
Shiloh is a 4-year-old-cream Shiba Inu who was released from a Midwest commercial breeding facility. She is one of the more fearful of the 12 Shiba Inus rescued by DC SIR. However, this sweet girl has made progress in foster care! Shiloh's foster parents note she is happiest when around other dogs. She will even start to play with other dogs if she thinks no one is watching. If you make any sudden moves, she will stop (poor sweetie!). We do feel Shiloh will do best in a home with another friendly dog to help build her confidence with people. We do require a fenced yard for Shiloh because she is still scared to walk on a leash but does better with other dogs around. Shiloh is house-trained and does well with body handling. She was briefly adopted out but returned due to no fault of her own (the resident dog didn't accept her). She has returned to her foster home and quickly re-integrated with her former foster siblings; she is ready to meet families interested in adopting her. Shiloh is fostered in Delaware (19713 zip code).
