The Quiet Thoughtful Type
Sherlock was rescued from a large apartment complex in north-east San Jose. Hes approximately number 39 of 40 kittens rescued from that site so he had an extended time living outdoor but now doesnt seem to miss it at all. Sherlock was socialized in place by two very gentle and soft spoken women. He has adapted to a noisier household but is still shy around men. Hes quiet excepting at feeding times; then he chirps and mews until the food is in place.
Sherlock is young enough to adapt to a variety of changes. He use to sit for hours just watching the cats and human around him. Now he plays as much as he monitors his environment. Sherlock loves spring toys, catnip mice and running. A wound up pipe cleaner keeps him dancing for 10-15 minutes at a time. He enjoys interactive play with wand toys. Given the opportunity, he will cuddle with you at night. Warning, Sherlock may hunt toes while you sleep.
Sherlock gets along with other cats older and younger. He plays the running game and tackle. He would be fine as a single kitten but prefers a home with other cats. Sherlock is bonding with his distant cousin Al, who is also available for adoption.

How To Adopt Me!
13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose.
We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat
