Shepherd - Alma - Large - Adult - Female - Dog

　　Everyone, meet Alma. Alma is a three year old Shepherd mix. This incredibly sweet, mellow girl has had a hard life up until now, but that hasn't stopped her from learning to trust people again. Brought to her foster home a scared, skinny, shaking pup who flinched every time you lifted your hand to pet her, Alma has learned that love is all you need. Alma has learned to sit, stay, and not jump up. She walks extremely well and listens to corrections immediately. Also, when walking by a yard full of barking dogs, she does not get excited or partake in barking; she just continues walking along her merry little way. She is about 90% house and crate trained, has no food aggression, and gets along great with other animals. She is obsessed with the cats, but very gentle and doesn't show any aggression towards them at all; she just wants to love them! She is gentle on the leash, loves children of all ages, loves to give kisses and hugs, and really wants to be a lap dog which isn't so easy at about 55 pounds! She is timid with toys still as she isn't sure what to do with them, but is starting to learn from all her brothers and sisters in her foster home. Alma has some separation anxiety and can be a little vocal in letting you know she isn't happy being left alone. Alma will make a wonderful family dog for someone who is willing to give this girl a little bit of time, patients, and love.
