Shepherd - Adam - Medium - Adult - Male - Dog

　　Adam! He is a very handsome, 2 or 3 year old little(30 lbs.) guy on alert for his people all the time. He always wants to go outside and scope things out. He gets along well with the dogs he lives with (male, female, big, small), but he?s still learning the social skills to approach the strange dogs that he longs to greet. Adam came to foster care not knowing about many of the niceties of being a companion animal. He is perfectly potty trained though which shows how smart and willing to please he is. Adam likes people although he starts out a bit timid. He had to learn about walking on tile, doorways, leashes, and cars. But he?s picked it up quick and has turned out to be an affectionate dog with a lot of personality. Adam does have some minor medical issues that have improved mightily with his time in foster care. He had a bad case of Valley Fever that had eaten into the bone of his back right leg, making it painful to use. So, Adam ended it up having to hold it close to his body as it lost muscle. However, he has responded well to fluconazole and daily walks and now has a slight limp that the vet says he?ll likely keep. His blood tests show that the Valley Fever has dropped dramatically and he should be fine.
