My story
Struggling to see from his punctured iris, baby Sheldon was found roaming the local gas station distressed by the pain and hunger that never ceased.
On Monday November 7th, we were notified about this kitten with what we thought was a ruptured eye. He was located at a Shell gas station with a feral colony we have been working to TNR. While he was very food motivated, he was also super smart and able to avoid us catching him for an hour! We finally got him when we put his food in the carrier and he watched his sibling go in after it, following behind. Sheldon was diagnosed with a punctured iris from trauma and had surgery on Friday November 11 to remove his eye. He is recovering well in his foster home - playing with toys, eating SO much and building up his strength.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Sheldon, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
