SHELBY's story
Shelby is a beautiful cat who came to us with two other cats (adopted!). When we tested all three cats, her feline companions tested negative for both FIV and FeLV; Shelby, however, tested positive for FIV (and negative for FeLV). FIV stands for feline immunodeficiency virus that causes a weakening of the cats immune system. However, FIV-positive cats can live normal lives, both in quality and duration. They just need to be monitored for infections and dental issues. But if theyre well cared for, they can be healthy, happy, wonderful pets. FIV-positive cats can live with FIV-negative cats as long as they don't fight because the most common route of infection is a deep bite wound from an FIV-positive cat to another cat. For more information about FIV please visit this website: https://bestfriends.org/resources/fiv-cats-faqs-feline-immunodeficiency-virus-information Her estimated date of birth is 08/11/2011. Her $50
