Sheena's story

　　Sheena has a story that beats all stories. This two year old girl has gone through so much and has conquered! We are so proud of her.

　　Sheena was spotted with 8 puppies is a supply yard in an isolated orange orchard. We are talking literally miles from civilization. She survived on her natural instincts. She hunted for food for herself and her pups and she drank from an irrigation ditch. She had little shade and no protection from the elements. Her body, full of scars, tells the story. Her teeth on one side of her mouth are almost completely gone from fighting fencing to go and come to hunt.

　　She is blind in one eye whether from birth or injury we are uncertain. She had a horribly broken leg that healed on it's own and basically just dangled. We have spent months with this girl. She has received the best surgical treatment to repair her front leg. She is now bearing weight and anxious to run and play. She spent nearly two months in confinement so that the healing process would be proper. Sheena loves the outdoors. She seems to feel free there. So if you are the outdoors type you may have found your match. Sheena is so sweet and quiet it is hard to believe she had the stamina to keep herself and her puppies alive for so long.
