Shasta (Playful and Loving!) Husky Adult - Adoption, Rescue
Nov 19, 2024
Description

To ADOPT, please e-mail us here: [email protected]

Shasta is a gorgeous, blue-eyed, Husky/Alaskan Malamute mix girl! She weighs 62 pounds. She is four years old and she has a clean bill of health.

Shasta came to The Fuzzy Pet Foundation - (TFPF) after her owner (mom) passed away of cancer. Losing her mom was devastating. Shasta was always treated like a princess. She had spent every waking moment with her mom -- going on fun walks, watching her cook in the kitchen, and snuggling up with her to watch Netflix movies. She was incredibly LOVED.

Shasta is now in our care and in need of a responsible, nurturing adopter. She is such a tidy, well-mannered girl. She doesn't like to dirty her beautiful, white coat. She enjoys laying on cool tile or wood floors. She likes to follow around her favorite people in the house. She leans on us for hugs, and she will come right to us for head rubs. She also has an independent side to her -- she likes to lay right beside us and quietly watch us cook, eat, chat, and do some work around the house. She is not a barker. She has never been destructive in the house. Shasta knows how to sit on command, and will do just about anything for yummy food and treats!

Shasta has a medium energy level. She likes to run around in the yard. She will toss up her squeaky toys, and yes, she will even pull out a squeaker or two depending on how mischievous she is feeling that day. She will also have random spurts of energy where she will run around the house while wagging her tail. Very cute to watch! Shasta LOVES going on daily walks, and she is an excellent exercise partner!

An ideal home for Shasta would be one where she can be the only pet/child. While Shasta will play and wrestle with other dogs, especially smaller, male dogs, she prefers to be the center of everyone's attention. Shasta doesn't always like to share her people, toys, food with other dogs, and she has never lived with cats. Because she was always raised as an only pet/child, we are looking to place her into a home without other animals or young, rambunctious kids.
