Shaggy's story
With one look into his eyes, Shaggy will steal your heart! He is such a unique and handsome dog! Shaggy is a corgi-cairn mix who came to Senior Dog Haven after his owner sadly passed away. After a few days of understandable confusion and sadness in his new foster home, he has blossomed into such a happy & goofy dog! He is so well behaved and very house trained! Shaggy is also very intelligent.
Shaggy recently visited the vet, and he is in great health! His blood work came back great for his age- Shaggy is 13+ years old. He is scheduled to have a dental and neuter surgeries at the end of May and is currently being treated for a slightly Lyme positive diagnosis.
Shaggy is a small and stocky dog currently weighing around 30lbs. Her gets around so well and walks very well on a leash. He takes walks 2-3 times per day with his foster brother and is a perfect gentleman. With some exercise he will lose his extra weight in no time!
He is good with cats and great with every person he encounters. Shaggy tends to get anxious around other dogs, especially in situations involving seeking food and gaining attention from his foster parents. While Shaggy has been getting better and better each day, his foster family never allows him to be with other dogs unsupervised. Because of this, Shaggy would do best in a forever home as the only dog.
Dont miss this opportunity to adopt a wonderful dog. He has so much love to give and would make the best companion dog!
