My story

　　Want to be best friends?I’m Shady and I am a male 3-year-old Terrier mix, weighing 32 pounds. I’ve already been neutered and besides having a little bit of an allergy, I’m in tip-top shape! I was rescued from Mexico and have been living the good life with my foster family ever since. I’m completely potty-trained and have been making great progress on my leash training and house manners. I’m a quick learner, too, especially when there are treats involved.One of my favorite things to do is go on long walks. I like to keep a faster pace and would probably make a good running buddy. I also enjoy sniffing everything, chasing balls, and chewing toys. Last, but not least, I LOVE hoomans. I like to be as close to you as possible and will be your little shadow if you move anywhere. The more snuggles and pets you can give, the better! I do have a bit of separation anxiety when you leave, though, but I am okay in a crate for short periods of time while you are gone. I’m not much of a barker, and loud noises or other dogs don’t really faze me.Basically, I’m just a gentle and lovable guy, with a dash of puppy energy on the side. My ideal household would be one that is moderately active and who could keep me company at home most of the day or even take me to work. I think I would do well with other dogs and older children, but maybe not cats so much as I have a tendency to chase things that run. If you think we’d make a great match, let’s meet!
