Shabnam's story
Shabnam aka Shabi, was rescued by a group of animal lovers back in Iran. She was found injured and pregnant, was rushed to the vet ... unfortunately lost her puppies. But, Shabi was a trooper, and it didn't take long before she learned to trust again, and then her luck changed. A sponsor stepped up and Shabi was on her way to the U.S. She is now being fostered in San Francisco Bay Area.
Shabi is around 3 years old, 68 lbs and is a gorgeous shepherd mix. She gets along with men, women, children and cats and is nothing less than a ball of sweetness! She has her own bed, and will sleep on it, but she won't pass up a seat on the couch to cuddle!
Shabi is currently being fostered with a super friendly pit mix who she adores, Shabi will avoid conflict but knows to defend herself if needed. She also likes to be the first in line to get attention from her people. Shabi would be fine as an only dog but really does enjoy the company of easy going, friendly dogs. Shabi's hip was also injured at the time of rescue, so follow up visit with the veterinarian will be supported by One Planet Rescue.
