circa 1870's set of Civil War settees - appraised at $1050 -still has original upholstery and horse hair stuffing - wood has some scratches and upholstery is worn- once refurbished,would look great next to a fireplace in an old Southern mansion or as museum pieces.
The chairs are made with one arm to accommodate the wide dresses and gowns (no hoops) worn by Victorian ladies. The style and the design reproduces the Civil War chairs when the officers sat with their swords hanging off the chair. Please text
