Scruffy's story

　　Scruffy is a 2 year old spunky guy! Hes 11lbs but isnt a physically large cat. As his name might imply, he was turned into the shelter with large amounts of hair missing due to a severe flea allergy. After lots of time, many neck and chin scratches, and high quality food, his hair has mostly grown back and he struts around proud of his new look. Due to his severe flea allergy, he will need to strictly be an indoor cat and will need to be diligently treated with flea prevention medicine monthly (along with all other animals in the household). Scruffy is quick to purr and loves to be scratched. Some of his favorite things include treats, toys with catnip and feathers, window hammocks, and playing fetch! He doesnt love being held/confined or having his toenails clipped and hes not afraid to use his toenails and teeth to show displeasure. He excitedly greets his foster mom with chirps and meows and runs over to her every time he sees her. Scruffy does not currently get along with the other cats in his foster home and he must be kept separate from them. He was previously in an open cat room at the shelter, though, where he got along with the other cats just fine. He has only been around a couple dogs but he seems to get along with them as long as theyre calm. Scruffy is fostered in Huntsville, AL, litter box trained, felv/fiv negative, up to date on vaccines, neutered, and microchipped!
