My story
Hi my name is Rhett, and I am about 6 years old. NBRAN got me out of a shelter where I landed after being found as a stray. I was heartworm positive and needed to be neutered. I've now had all my treatment and I am looking for a place to call my home. I am a purebred boy weighing in around 45 pounds. I really need another dog companion in my home, because that helps me to feel comfortable. I roamed free in my previous life, so I need a place with a lot of land to roam. A farm would be awesome! I would do best with an invisible fence or a 6' fence. I will jump a 4' or 5' fence, because I want to get out and explore like I used to be able to do. I always do come back though.
I am very friendly and love to curl up on my human's lap and cuddle. I do bark at people as they pass by or approach my home, just protecting my place. I wag my tail and want to jump up on them to greet them when they get close. I am housebroken, but I do not like a crate. It's something about me being confined.. I don't like it. I'm a really easy going boy if I can just have another dog and a lot of land to explore. Like a typical brittany, I do pull on a leash if there's something that I want to go after. I love car rides and outings with my people!
I am scared of thunderstorms, but I am working on how to deal with that. I take a calming medicine before one comes on, and that seems to help me a lot. If you have what I need, please consider adopting me. I'll be a great companion for you.
Please visit to submit an adoption application and mention my name! I can be transported up to 1400 miles away. I am currently in Northwestern GA.
I am up to date on all vaccinations and neutered. I do have a cataract in one eye, but that doesn't seem to bother me and the vet said there is nothing that needs to be done with it at this point. My adoption fee is $350.
