My story
Meet Scratch and Sniff. Twin brothers – identical right down to the slight smudge of white on their chests! They were born on Ash Wednesday (March 2nd, 2022) and may be adopted separately. Scratch is a playful goof, while Sniff is calm and sweet. In the pictures, Sniff is the one laying down.
Their mom was adopted about two weeks before she gave birth, so they have only known life inside with other cats and adults. They both love toys, but Scratch’s clear favorite is a damp paper towel.
Both are quick to purr and love to be held and scratched. Scratch has been known to give kisses when held close to skin. Meanwhile, Sniff favorite activity is cuddling and even enjoys being held like a baby on his back. Scratch believes new people need to be inspected before trusted and neither are fans of the dogs they “met” at the vet. Scratch does not travel well, while Sniff tolerates it as long as he can see where you’re going. Both have been neutered, do not spray, are litter box trained, microchipped, and have full claws. Vaccinations are in progress. Their mom is FIV+, so we separated them from her around 8 weeks old. According to our vet, this gives their antibodies a chance to rid their bodies of the virus. They will need to be tested at 6 months to know for certain.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Scratch & Sniff, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
