My story

　　Scout is an 11-month-old male Shepherd mix who must be neutered before he is adopted.  He came to the shelter as a stray who was found out in the county; and no one came to reclaim him.  Scout has a short black and tan coat; and we think he is a very good looking fellow.  He weighs 35 pounds so he is considered to be a medium sized dog.  Scout is super active;  and he would need a nice fenced yard to play.  He is good with other dogs; and he would be good in a home with older children.  Since he is so active he might accidentally knock down a younger child.  Scout is working on his leash training; and with a patient owner we think he will quickly learn what is acceptable while on a leash.  This sweet and friendly young fellow has the potential to be a great addition to just about any family.  Scout just needs a yard to play in; and an owner who is willing to take up some time with him.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120 and cat/kitten adoption fees are $50. Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
