My story

　　Scooter is a 9 yr old male whose owner stated they no longer had time for him. He came from a home with another dog who was Scooters lifelong companion, that dog passed away last year according to the previous owner.

　　Scooter is a Super sweet boy who is an easy keeper here at the rescue. Scooter has excellent hips according to his xrays however he does have discomfort in his lower back. He was placed on pain meds and is doing so much better. He loves to go for little hikes in the woods here at the rescue and keeps up with the pack. He has gotten along with all the dogs here that he has met, loves people. Cats unknown. He is a wonderful old boy who would love to find a loving forever home to live out the rest of his years knowing that he is loved, having another dog would be a bonus. Prefer fenced yard so he doesn't have to be tethered while outside. ALL adoptions are done FACE TO FACE, we DO NOT ship dogs out, adopters are responsible to travel if they live outside the Fairbanks area and stay at least one 24 hour visit with scooter. Please DO NOT email the rescue asking if this or any dog is available, all our dogs are available for adoption unless their ad states pending next to their name. Inquiries just asking if a dog/puppy is available will just be deletedAll adoption fees are $400 however due to his age his adoption fee is only $150Please review our adoption process before filling out an application. MUST be at least 21 to adopt, do not contact asking to bend the rules.
